The
Apple iPad may very well launch us into a new era of online entertainment, news,
and shopping. While many say that the iPad is perhaps a large version of the
iPod Touch, there is no denying that many people are excited for the release.
Much of this excitement is not without reason as the Apple iPad boasts online
capability, video playback, and iBooks, just to name a few. Perhaps the most
exciting feature, according to Apple, is the device is ready to go out of the
box.
Many
experts are excited declaring the iPad will help pave the way for mobile devices
in 2010. However, the release is not coming without criticism. Among the most
popular is the lack of compatibility with Adobe Flash, no TV subscription
service, and even its name.
Even
with its controversy, the iPad has generated a substantial amount of positive
buzz. Many businesses are already designing accessories and developing apps.
Some of the most anticipated accessories are iPad cases or skins that allow
protection and decoration. Many of the popular iPhone case manufacturers will be
release iPad cases soon. There are also news and media apps such as the New York
Times application.
The
Apple iPad boasts a $499 price tag so it will be interesting to watch initial
sales of the iPad. Additionally, the iPad is going head to head with the Kindle
so expect to see some tough competition and select incentives.
The
iPad is coming and it will shoot mobile technology forward spawning clones and
add-ons such as iPad cases.
